PT Atara Resources Candrasa
ATARA Resources covers multiple roles, such as mining concession owner, contractor, stockpile owner, and coal trader. We are involved in coal mining in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, and preparing to develop another coal concession in Bengkulu Utara. We also manage a nickel mining concession in Morowali, Central Sulawesi that focuses on environmental conditions and community development, which has led us to receive several awards.
ATARA Resources is consisted of PT Bumi Banjar Persada, PT Mitra Agro Semesta, PT Phoenix Sinergi Perkasa, PT Jatayu Energi Rekatama, and PT Phoenix Mitra Bangunusa.
Coal Mining
PT Banjar Bumi Persada
PT Banjar Bumi Persada (BBP) runs an open-pit coal mine of approximately 1,132 hectares in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, focusing on low-calorie coal production. The mining operation began in 2018, and our production capacity is currently around 0.5 metric tons.
We believe that our company’s business success can only be achieved if we get support from the community around the mining operations. As a manifestation of corporate social responsibility to improve society, BBP is actively involved in community development activities with MAS.

PT Phoenix Sinergi Perkasa (PSP) and PT Jatayu Energi Rekatama (JER) is part of ATARA Resources that focuses on coal trading in the domestic and export markets. Both companies focus on the Kalimantan area.
Our team is led by experienced personnel with solid local expertise and well-developed relationships across the coal mining owner. We commit to delivering the best quality of coal as per specification. We maintain the quality from upstream to downstream, from coal pit and stockpile to barge. Our excellent service quality has enabled us to establish a solid customer base. Currently, we operate mainly on FOB.
Stockpile & Land Concession
PT Mitra Agro Semesta
PT Mitra Agro Semesta (MAS) focuses on land bank optimization of Nusantara Plantation Limited Company (PT Perkebunan Negara, PTPN) as a state-owned enterprise in the plantation. MAS collaborates with PTPN for 4,720 hectares, coordinates ten mining license owners (Ijin Usaha Pertambangan, IUP), and manages the hauling road, coal crusher, and stockpile in South Kalimantan.
MAS focuses on the coal business and is involved in community development. MAS has carried out various activities to provide optimal value to the broader community, including the activities to commemorate National Waste Care Day (Hari Pengelolaan Sampah Nasional, HPSN), harvesting chilli plants with the honeybee farmers, and driving micro, small, and medium enterprises.
