About the Position

Position is primarily responsible for supporting and directing the dining services in the Health Care Households, the Assisted Living Unit and the Terrace. Monitors sanitation, regulatory compliance and maintains effective communication.

This position will be paid $27/hr-$29/hr based on experience.

Job Duties

• Observes and supervises meal service on the Terrace, the Assisted Living Unit and Health Care Unit households.
• Checks meals for accuracy and appearance. Monitors food temperatures.
• Monitors supplies on the Terrace, the Assisted Living Unit and the Health Care Unit households.
• Monitors sanitation of the Terrace, the Assisted Living Unit and Health Care Household pantries.
• Encourages positive employee behavior and performance, provides constant feedback including timely completion of performance appraisals, and rewards employees appropriately.
• Identifies unacceptable performance and behavior, takes appropriate action within authority, holds employees accountable, utilizes progressive disciplinary procedures when appropriate, and maintains documentation.
• Interviews candidates for employment and makes hiring and termination decisions after consultation with Human Resources and Director.

Job Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required with at least three (3) years food service experience preferred, one year required.
• At least one (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with staff, residents and others.
• Good communication skills required.
• Must use discretion and independent judgment when performing job duties.
