Job Title: Contract Pathologists’ Assistant (12-Week Assignment)
About the Role:
We’re seeking a Pathologists’ Assistant (ASCP-certified) for a 12-week contract assignment at a busy clinical and surgical pathology site. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and want the stability of one location with the flexibility of a contract.
What You’ll Do:
Perform gross examination, dissection, and dictation of surgical specimens (biopsies, resections, oncology cases).
Assist with frozen sections and intraoperative consultations.
Support specimen accessioning, labeling, and workflow optimization.
Collaborate with board-certified pathologists and surgical teams to ensure timely results.
Maintain compliance with CAP/CLIA standards and institutional protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
Master’s degree from an NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program.
ASCP certification (PA) required.
1+ year of independent experience preferred (new grads with strong rotations considered).
Excellent grossing skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to workflow needs.
Contract Details:
12-week contract assignment at one location
$40/hr+ $1,480/wk in per diem, $3080/week total comp
