The North Carolina Association of Educators seeks committed staff to fill the position of Project Organizer to work on two of NCAE’s most ambitious and exciting projects yet, a majority union recognition campaign aiming to build the largest majority local in NCAE history in just 1 year, and campaigns to build power in Eastern North Carolina. This project is part of NCAE’s strategic plan to build a movement of majority locals in order to win power both locally and statewide.
Project Organizers identify, recruit, train, and coach building level leadership, drive member recruitment and engagement, and support organizing campaigns to win real improvements for public school staff and students. Project organizers are on the front lines of NCAE’s efforts to organize the public education sector in the South and will spend the majority of their time in the field working directly with member leaders.

About the North Carolina Association of Educators
The North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) is building a movement to transform and expand public education in our state to ensure all students have access to quality public education that provides them with an opportunity to meet their full potential.
NCAE is one of the fastest growing NEA affiliate in the country - making moves from the Sandhills to the Mountains to win the schools North Carolina students deserve. And embracing comprehensive campaigns to bring public education stakeholders together to win unprecedented wins for public school staff, students, and parents.
NCAE’s four year strategic plan prioritizes growing our union, members leading professional practices and standards and restoring the promise of public schools and our democracy against the interests that seek to privatize our schools and continue the practice that the powerful select their electorate.
